Director's Message

We made a modest beginning from 2004with few development activities in this region .Onward we have initiateddifferent kind of projects to benefit the local public .This journey of 10years, with ups and down has been a huge learning & experience.

As this report shows we eitherdirectly provide services or facilitate the needy to access services providedby others the focus of each program has been the weaker section, sick, poor andorphan children.

We are now at a cusp of growth to takethe next step from providing facilities,, and services to provide long termsolution.

For example during the implementationof DLHS-4, the bio chemical tests of rural poor were done free of cost. At thesame time under the Akxshya project for prevention & control of T.B. , Therural population are being also benefited.

A set of villages benefits from ourhealth, education and skill development programs in Fatehabad & itsadjoining areas. During the previous years, we have developed a report with thebeneficiaries in these villages. We need to convert the goodwill for proactiveengagement these beneficiaries in issues such as prevention of femalefoeticide, other health Hazards, Water & Sanitation, Women & youthempowerment etc.

To this end we need to bring about achange in the way we do things. To begin with, we need to change the way wecollect data. At present are information of our day to day activities iscaptured in daily report so that we can maintain a high level of transparencyand accountability. We now need to augment this exercise with continuous systemof impact assessment and course correction. For our new upcoming projects weneed to upgrade the skills of our staff and social workers. We have always beenproud of the fact that individual donors are our main support. We want to bringmore value to their unstinted support. We also hope garner the support of moreinstitutional donors in the future.

We could also tap new CSR initiativesfor the Sustainable development of deprived weaker section of community.

In all these years, we have beenunwavering in our mission to assist and support the poor and destitute. We hopethat with the proposed changes in the future we can make real difference in thelives of our fellow citizens from weaker sections.

Our team would like to Thank you fortaking the time to engage with UTTHAN (USS).
